Dealing with a sports injury or chronic pain or recovering post-surgery and looking for WPA-approved physiotherapists? We provide comprehensive physiotherapy services under WPA health insurance, ensuring that you receive the best possible care without hassle.
With a skilled and experienced team of HCPC-registered and CSP-member physiotherapists, you can trust that you’ll receive the highest standard of treatment in our clinics.
Benefits Of Seeing WPA-Approved Physiotherapists
These are the benefits of seeing a WPA-approved physiotherapist:
- Hassle-free claims: Our clinics work directly with WPA health insurance and WPA, making the claims process easy and quick so that you can focus on your recovery and treatment.
- Comprehensive care: Whether you need post-injury rehabilitation or general physiotherapy, our physiotherapists offer expert care that will help you get back on your feet quickly.
How To Get Treatment
1. Contact WPA
Contact WPA by calling their number or using the WPA Health app to confirm that your membership covers physiotherapy appointments. Check if you need to pay an excess and confirm the capped number of sessions covered by WPA. Find out if you need a GP referral to access a private physiotherapist. Members who need a GP referral can get one within a day or two through WPA Health Insurance’s remote GP service. Alternatively, you can go through your NHS GP for a referral.
2. Inform WPA of your intent to get treatment
WPA does not register clinics, only physiotherapists. You can inform WPA of your intent to get treatment by letting them know the name of our physiotherapist that you wish to book an appointment with and get authorisation for it. This must be done before you book an appointment with the physiotherapist. If you need help deciding which physiotherapist is best suited for you, call your local clinic or email therapies@true.physio.
3. Book your appointment with us
Book an appointment with us through our booking platform or email therapies@true.physio. Let us know that you are using your WPA insurance and share your membership number and WPA authorisation/claim number, excess details, and allowance information. You may give us multiple authorisation codes if you wish to be treated for various conditions. Our team will book appointments and bill accordingly.
4. Pay for your session
You will receive an email from WPA after authorisation with details of the excess you must pay at our clinic. Since billing approvals take at least a few weeks, we will most likely send you a payment request for the excess after your treatment has begun.
Physiotherapy Treatments Covered By WPA
Your WPA health insurance covers private medical treatment for new, acute conditions. This means you’re likely covered if you have a recent injury or illness but not for ongoing problems. To make the most of your policy, it’s best to seek treatment promptly. Delays could mean your physiotherapy appointments aren’t covered.
Our WPA-Approved Physiotherapy Services Include:
- Full Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy: Comprehensive assessment and treatment for joint, muscle, and soft tissue conditions, tailored to your needs.
- Rehabilitation Programmes: Individualised plans to aid recovery from injuries or surgeries, improving mobility, strength, and function.
- Acupuncture Treatment: As part of a holistic physiotherapy approach, acupuncture can help relieve pain and promote healing for various conditions.
- Vestibular Therapy: Specialised treatments for balance disorders, dizziness, and vertigo, designed to improve stability and overall well-being.
- Shockwave Therapy: Non-invasive treatment for chronic conditions like tendonitis and plantar fasciitis, aimed at accelerating the healing process.
- Injection Therapy: Administered by qualified professionals, this service is available for managing specific musculoskeletal conditions. Please note that patients may need to seek approval for this specific service as there is a premium associated with this treatment.
The availability of these treatments and their coverage under your WPA policy may vary between clinics and policies. We suggest checking with your insurance provider and confirming directly with our clinic to ensure your treatment needs are covered.
