About Our Clinic In Congleton

Our Congleton Physiotherapy clinic is based inside the newly refurbished Congleton Leisure Centre. The centre boasts incredible facilities for members to work on their health and fitness in friendly, inspiring surroundings. There is loads of free parking at the Leisure Centre. When you arrive, please go to reception and tell them you are here for Physio.

Our physiotherapists in Congleton have extensive experience working in private practice and are HCPC registered and chartered. We are registered with all major medical insurers including Axa PPP and Bupa.

We have daytime, and evening appointments, so everyone can access the help they need.

    Keith Johnstone

    MSc, MCSP, HCPC

    Keith qualified in 1986 and so has over 30 years experience in musculo-skeletal Physiotherapy. Having worked in elite sport in Football and Athletics, as well as private practices, he has a massive amount of experience in assessing and treating injuries. He has advanced assessment, diagnosis and treatment skills and loves educating his patients to make sure they understand exactly what is happening and how the condition can be improved. Keith looks after clinical excellence across all UK clinics.

    Matthew graduated with a Master’s in Physiotherapy (Sports and Exercise Medicine) in 2025. With a strong interest in sport and healthy lifestyles, Matthew is passionate about helping people not only recover from injuries but also improve their overall wellbeing.

    Jo-Anne qualified as a physiotherapist in 2017 in South Africa and has since relocated to the UK. She brings diverse experience from private practice, with a special interest in chronic pain and musculoskeletal conditions, helping patients return to pain-free function and the activities they love. Known for her kind and empathetic nature, Jo-Anne takes a holistic, hands-on approach and incorporates her Pilates training into tailored treatment plans.

    Rob graduated with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy in 2025 and holds a BSc in Sport Science. He is also a qualified Personal Trainer. Rob has a strong interest in strength training and the management of chronic conditions, including tendinopathy. He is passionate about helping people reduce pain and improve function through tailored exercise prescription and hands-on treatment. He is a firm believer in a multi-modal, personalised approach to care that aligns treatment with each individual’s goals

    Having played sport throughout his life, John has a keen interest in sports and physical activity and understands the importance of getting you back to your sports and hobbies by specialising in sports-related injuries.

    John is also a qualified personal trainer, he has a vast knowledge and arsenal of exercises that can be tailored specifically to help treat individual problems, alongside a more hands-on approach.
